fukubukuro
A fukubukuro is a sealed bag with mystery items in it. It is a tradition in Japan to buy it the three days after new year. There is usually about 100$ worth of things in it but it costs 10$. The mystery causes the low prices. My dad heard that out side people are trading there things. Also people came really early and push and shove to get a fukubukuro. (We didn't see this we just watched the news.) The items are related to what the store sells so a book shop will not give you a tie. Mine was technically not a fukubukuro because it was in a tin and not a bag. It was 20$ and had a 20$ gift card and a lucky item. Mine was a clay horse. Mt mom chose a 50$ one and got a mini pillow, blanket, plate, cup, and towels. It also came it a big cloth bag. My dads was from a store where they sold binders, pouches and notebooks. His came with 2 note/scrap books, a binder and some post-its. All our fukubukuro where amazing!
