This weekend I went to a soccer tournament. The tournament was held at the British school. The teams that played were NIS, BST (British School in Tokyo), The Jaguars? And some french soccer club.
This is the day written out.
8:00 - The NIS team met at the school. We were practicing on the play-ground. My friend Mantaro's little brother was so good. And he is only 4 or 5.
8:10 - The team split into car rides. I was with Mantaro, his brother and Gabby. Some of the team did not ride in a car and took the train straight there.
8:30 - We got to the British school and the other teams had already gathered. Then we waited.
9:15~ - We started the first 10 and under game a bit late. Each half is 17 1/2 minutes long. The team started out as all 4th graders but then at half time we switched some people. I was a spectator the whole game. Then some 5th graders took there places and we won! The score was 5-2 verses the French team. Then it was our time to shine. The team headed over to the 12 and under pitch. There we faced the french once again. I was the keeper and the game started. At first the game was good with a score of 1-1. But that was with our good players. When the good players went out at half, we had no chance. We managed to score 1 more goal but the score ended 2-6. After that game the 10 and under kids had to go play. Frankly I wasn't really watching because the coach wouldn't put me in. He didn't think I was 10. Then we played 2 more matches as 12 and under and 2 more as 10 and under. I don't know if we won the 10 and under but we lost the 12 and under.
12:15 - The teams started leaving after the match against the Jaguars. We had a lot of fun at the soccer tournament.
1:00 - The cars arrived at Nishimachi school and the soccer day is over.
The soccer tournament was really fun. I can't wait till march and then we will have revenge! Maybe

Paintball
Yesterday I went paint balling! I went with my friend's birthday party group. Paint balling is when you get a gun and shoot paintballs. The starter pack was no gear and 150 paintballs only. We upgraded to the good pack which is you get all the gear. Getting the suit on and off took a really long time. Then we had to watch a video about the things you buy and that stuff, which was a huge waste of 20 minutes. Then he had to show us how to load the gun, the rules, how to get more air in the gun etc etc. Finally we got to the shooting range and we practiced aiming and shooting, and that was really fun.
Finally we got to the war. The field had 4 sniper towers. There were many, many walls and "houses" under the towers. The team that got out first was the loser. We started and the strategy was a few people go on the ground and the rest go in the sniper tower. We were doing OK until the riskers (the people who were on the ground) got out. Then I got down from the tower and "risked" and got someone. Then when I peeked my head out, someone was closer then before so they shoot me. In the eye. Well it would have been the eye if not for the helmet.
That game we lost.
Then the next game was the same rules but different sides. That game I had run out of ammo that Liam's dad had bought. Really you can't do much without ammo, so I went out. We lost again.
The third time was capture the flag. I was in the tower again and got out when someone "froze" me. The rule about freezing is that when you are closer then 3meters you can't shoot. You yell 'freeze' and that person goes out. If they don't, then you are allowed to shoot. The rest of the game was fun to watch. Thomas and Kathy had an epic face-off, in which Thomas won, yet our team still lost.
The fourth game was yet again capture the flag but different sides. In this game I was an attacker. I went with Chris and together we took out both girls. Then when I peeked in the maze to shoot, someone hit me from a bit closer then three meters. That game started with a bad start for us, but we made an amazing win when Marin came down from the tower and snuck around Kaz who was fighting Chris and Thomas. Then Marin froze Kaz and now there are only 2 defenders left. The boys went right at the defenders while the girls snuck around and got the flag.
The last round was Hunger Games, kill or be killed. I think this was cheap, because some people get the 2 good spots and the rest die. I started off behind a wall then got half uncovered to shoot. Meanwhile someone got just over 3 meters away and shot my leg from behind. This game was really intense because the person I had been shooting at ran at the "house" that someone was hiding in, and got out. Then the person who shot the guy that I tried to shoot got bored and left the house the exact moment that Thomas was running by! So he died.
Then the instructor said "Final 3" and 2 girls who had an alliance didn't hear correctly and thought it was final 2, so they started an awesome fight. After getting so many times they both agreed that they should split the prize. Only there was one person left and he stood up from the tower and the girls were so surprised. The winner was Liam and it was his birthday! The prize was a free zipline and while he got ready, every one had a big paint throwing fight. When it was the big moment every one was about to throw the paintballs and we hit him a lot. But I also got hit on the head.
The paint ball party was really fun and I think Liam enjoyed his party.

Perth part 2
Sorry I couldn't get this out last week but this was a really fun part of the trip. Enjoy.
On one day of the trip, we went to prison. If you didn't read the Perth blog, then the people in "we" are my parents, my moms cousin's family (of three), my moms cousin's sister's family (of 2) and I. The prison is called Freemantle Prison. I think it is a bit cruel that the word "Free" is in the name of a prison.
At first I wanted to go on the "Tunnels!" tour but we couldn't because it has an age limit of 12 years old. The Tunnles tour sounded fun because you got to go through blast holes, walk through the really tunnels and go canoeing where it was watery. But the tour we did take was still very cool.
We took the normal tour and our guide was Ben. And no, he did not have an Aussie ascent. Ben was really friendly and funny. At the end of the tour he said, "If you liked the tour, my name is Ben, if you didn't like the tour my name is Nicky." That gave me the Idea that I will write good things on the review form about him but make his name Nicky.
The prison was really neat. Here are the highlights.

The prison was really neat. Here are the highlights.
- Everyone on the tour was in the "waiting room" of the prison and Ben said "The prisoners and convicts had to take off their clothes and sit on these benches. Do your laundry."
- If you are thinking of a tiny prison block with totally bare iron cells, you are wrong. It was actually more like a walled in mini community. There was a kitchen, shoe repair shop, tailor, a church and even a school.
- The cells were a bit small. They were about the size of a mini van. The early cells didn't have beds, only hammocks. The later ones had beds and sometimes bunk beds. There was this one room that was covered in paintings. Ben explained that this guy had a wood leg that he attacked people with. The only way he calmed down was painting. After a bit we saw some more painted cells. This was because later the prisoners were aloud to paint if they bought their own supplies. Then a few more cells down Ben explained that in this time you could buy your own TV. Still, the toilets (more accurately pans) never changed.
Freemantle prison was really cool. I hope to go again when I am 12 so I can go Tunneling.

Perth
Over winter break my family went to Australia. The city of Perth is located in West Australia. We stayed at my mom's cousin's house. My mom's cousin's family is of her, her husband and their kid, Maya at age 3. Their house is giant. The living room + kitchen could fit my room and the master bedroom. Maya's room was as big as the master bed room at our house and the rest of their house was just as big. They had a guest room for us. Then they had to convert the office (that was, by the way the size of a bedroom) into another guest bedroom. The second one was for her sister's family (of 2). From their house we could see swan river.
I went surfing 2 times. I went in the Indian ocean. The beach was Scarborough beach and was 15 minuets drive away. The surfing was with a compony called Go surf. They had a big truck with a bunch of wet-suits and "rashies"and surf boards. The first day it was me, a kid and his older brother in our group. The first kid was about 9 years old and his brother was 11 or 12. The lessons were more like a free for all with a little helper hear and there and possibly over there. I was mostly working on paddling in general and I improved a lot.The lessons were really fun and safe but one kid sat out for a bit. We had to start at a sand bar so we could stand. The second day it was me, the same kids and two new kids. Every thing was good except the water was freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing.
We also went to the Cabersham wildlife park. They mostly had Australian animals like Kangaroo, Dingo, Koala and Wombat. My favorite was the Wombat and friends. It was my favorite because it had the wombat, some birds, a snake, a possum thingy and a cute spotted rat. We got to touch most of the things but not the birds. My next favorite was the Kangaroos. If you are thinking of the Kangaroos at Brookfield zoo where they lay around and do nothing. That is the complete opposite of what we saw. There was a pooper scooper truck that drove around a lot and that startled the roos so they ran. And it was a feeding/petting zoo style so you didn't only see them from 30" away. You actually got to touch and feed them. They were really soft. The Kangaroos were really cool. My third favorite was the farm show. The main guy showed us how the sheepdog worked. Then (my favorite part) he demonstrated sheering a sheep. The other helper was commentating about "this part is called the long cut because it is the longest cut." or "right now he is getting the wool from the sheep's feet because it is dirtier". The next thing he showed us was the billy tea. The farmer puts water and tea leaves into a bucket (called a billy bucket) and heats it. Then when it boils he swings the bucket in a circle. He said that that flattens the leaves to the bottom. Then he can pour his tea. One of the most exiting things happened next. The farmer showed us how to crack a whip. He showed us. It. Was. Really. Loud!!! He explained that when he jerks the whip the other way the end breaks the sound barrier. Then he asked an adult to come down and try.A man came down and after several attempts... he still couldn't make it. Then he all gave everyone a turn to come down and milk the cow or to look at the sheep and sheepdogs. When we were on the bench the sheep looked naked. Close up the sheep still had a thin layer of wool and a lot of nicks. The nicks looked like they hurt but the guy said it is like when you cut yourself shaving. The Koalas were really cute. They had no cage, no fence and could escape if they wanted. Even the people torching them were so free that we torched the wrong one. The koalas were so soft. The caretaker said they sleep for 18~22 hours a day and the rest of the time, ate. That is except for the teenager who still got milk so he had more energy and could do more stuff. And there was this one guy who leaned straight back to eat a leaf. The zoo was really fun. (And I got a matching Wombat with Maya.
